For windows Vista/7 users anytime you drag a window over the emulation screen or have it behind multiple windows it will cause graphics to freeze. Options > Config Graphics - set Anisotropic to 2X.
If your Graphics are completely black but still emulate fine, then repeat Options > Config Graphics, UNcheck the "Hide Advance Options" box and then go to the "Rom Settings" tab and DELETE the Width and Height.
